So far, most of the suggestions and rumours are pointing towards Microsoft launching its next main console next year, in 2027, while speculation indicates Sony might wait until 2028 or even 2029 to release a PS6. The new Xbox is said to support multiple storefronts, which lines up with what Sharma says in her post on Project Helix.
As for Sony and the PS6, it’s heavily rumoured to be launching both a console and a handheld device to go along with it. It’s suggested that the recently added Power Saver mode is getting current PS5 titles ready for the portable machine to go alongside the main system.
