Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse tells its story in a non-linear fashion, using a branching Story Chart that sends you leaping between characters, timeframes, and perspectives as you piece together the full picture. Rather than a single path to one conclusion, the game features multiple endings – some of which you may stumble into before others, regardless of their numbering.
Navigating to each one requires careful attention to the choices you make and the chapters you complete along the way. This guide will walk you through how to unlock all of the game’s endings.
How To Get Ending #1
This is the first ending of the game that you’ll encounter simply by playing normally. As you play through the game, you’ll unlock plenty of chapters that send you back and forth through time to view the story’s details.
This ending is found at the end of the top route of Sato’s story. It is after this ending that you will be visited by the Storyteller who will hint at the presence of other, alternate endings.

How To Get Endings #2 And #3
Despite being numbered two and three, it’s actually quite possible (and easy!) to see Ending #5 before getting these.
Getting these endings requires a little bit of setup:
- To avoid confusion and being spoiled by things, it’s highly recommended that you exhaust every chapter that you have access to up until you unlock the We Need A Plan chapter in Yuza’s story. Here, examine Sato at the start to get a Recollection that unlocks a new chain of chapters that will setup the events required by these endings.
- In Sato’s Point of Contact chapter, examine the keychain behind you when you start the chapter. This will allow you to pick Tsuyu as the Point of Contact in the dialogue. This unlocks the Claim chapter.
From here, you’ll need to follow the steps that are also necessary for unlocking the True Ending up until you have genuine mermaid flesh inside the Tamatebako. Follow the link for the explicit steps required.

If you don’t want to get the full spoilers of the True Ending’s puzzles, here are some hints:

- In the Claim chapter, retrieve the Tamatebako from Avi with honesty.
- In the same chapter, find out about the mermaid’s secret communication methods in the Minakuchi residence.
- Communicate with a mermaid and convince her to share her flesh.
With the mermaid flesh in the Tamatebako (which will be persistent throughout the entire story), you can now get Endings 2 and 3.
To do this, you’ll first need to restart the Claim chapter, go to the Lighthouse portion and pick ‘Deny’ and ‘Thank’ in the conversation with Avi. This means that Avi will be the one in possession of the Tametebako. As long as the Tametebako has the mermaid flesh inside, you’ll unlock An Exciting Ise-Shima Adventure – which ending comes from this chapter depends on your actions during the preceding chapter: Possessions.
- If Kikuko survived in Possessions, you’ll get Ending 2. You must refuse or throw away the hand mirror and also throw away the business card to accomplish this.
- If Kikuko died in Possessions, you’ll get Ending 3. You must refuse or throw away the hand mirror but not throw away the business card to accomplish this.
How To Get Ending #4
In Sato’s Real Name chapter, all you’ll need to do is pick the ‘Obey’ option when given the chance.
How To Get Ending #5
In Sato’s Real Name chapter, pick the ‘Refuse’ option when given the chance. This unlocks a new string of chapters.
To progress, you’ll need to make the right choices in the We Need A Plan chapter. Doing this will unlock the path to this bittersweet ending!
How To Get The True Ending
