OnePlus is one of the few brands that isn’t afraid to introduce radical changes to its devices. After sticking with an iconic design for years, the company debuted a major revamp with the OnePlus 15. However, it seems this evolution is set to continue, as hinted by leaks about its next smartphone.
The upcoming mid-range OnePlus 15T has leaked ahead of its official unveiling. Rather than carrying over the current design language of other OnePlus models, it introduces a surprising twist, and one that fans will likely find polarizing.
An iPhone 17 Pro Wannabe?
A purported product image of the OnePlus 15T has recently surfaced on the Chinese platform Weibo (via X). Unlike previous hands-on photos, this leak provides a much clearer angle of the device.
Most noticeably, the rear features a wider, squarish camera island that extends almost from side to side. This module, which houses two camera sensors and an LED flash, is remarkably thin and sits nearly flush with the back panel.

What’s most striking, however, is that this aesthetic closely mirrors the iPhone 17 Pro, which has made this a distinctive design element for the latest Apple lineup. The resemblance is undeniable, especially considering the right side of the square panel appears largely unoccupied by other components. Whether this is a more refined touch than the smaller camera islands on the OnePlus 15 (review) and 15R is already a topic of debate among users.

Impressive Display Bezels and Flagship Power
Beyond its looks, the OnePlus 15T is expected to be a powerhouse compact flagship. Reports suggest it will be driven by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. The company has also teased incredibly thin display bezels surrounding the 6.3-inch AMOLED Panel, which have already been showcased in comparisons against the iPhone 17 Pro. Photography fans can also look forward to an upgraded 50 MP telephoto sensor.
The device is expected to be made official in China in the coming weeks. OnePlus is likely to release it in India, considering the OnePlus 13T was previously launched in the country, though as the 13S. And given that the 13T proved to be a popular choice for those seeking a smaller flagship, there is a strong possibility that OnePlus could expand the 15T’s availability to more global markets.
What are your thoughts on the new design direction for the OnePlus 15T? Do you prefer a compact form factor, or do you still lean toward bulkier phones?
