There are some skins in Marvel Rivals that you hardly ever see anybody use, and Venom’s Space Knight is right up there as one of the least-used looks in the game. That is all about to change as the latest Marvel Rivals PS Plus freebies have been revealed, and, you guessed it, this month subscribers can get the Venom Space Knight bundle at no additional cost.
If You Have PS Plus, You Can Claim Venom’s Space Knight Bundle For Free
Rivals might not be a PS5 exclusive, but every few months, PS Plus subscribers get a little something for free. Prior offerings have included Peni’s Venom skin and the outfit that makes Jeff look like a fluffy pink dolphin. Both skins that were widely used in-game before they were given away for free, but that cannot be said for Space Knight Venom.
The bundle doesn’t just include the symbiote’s intergalactic skin. It also comes with its matching MVP screen, nameplate, spray, and 300 Chrono Tokens to spend on whatever you like. If you have an active PS Plus subscription, it’s available now and should have its own smaller tile when you hover over Rivals on your home screen. If not, you can claim it here through the online PlayStation Store.
You have until May 21, 2026, to claim the bundle.
All of this means you’ll almost certainly see a lot more Space Knight Venoms in your matches throughout the rest of this week and into the weekend. It’s used so rarely that some of you might not even know what it looks like, even though the skin has been available through the in-game store since release day.
Why Does Nobody Like Space Knight Venom?
That’s because, for reasons I’ve still not quite been able to figure out, no one really uses Venom’s Space Knight skin. I think it looks cool, and I will be claiming it now that it’s free through PS Plus. However, I don’t already own it because Venom isn’t a character I regularly use. I’m a Peni main, so I was on that free Venom skin like a shot the second it became available.
There are a few theories as to why we don’t see many Space Knights in Rivals. Some seem to think it’s connected to the lackluster reaction to the space version of the character’s comic book run. Others are of the belief that the metallic nature of the skin is too big a leap from the organic feel Venom’s skins usually have since the symbiote part of the character is always right there on the surface.
Another theory, and the one I tend to believe, is that the price has something to do with. Venom’s Space Knight skin costs 1,600 units, which is pretty pricey. It’s especially pricey when you compare it to the objectively superior Anti-Venom skin, which only costs 600 units. I know which one I’d choose if I used Venom more often. I do have the Cyan Clash Venom skin from my time with the beta, though, which Rivals’ developers have confirmed will never be available to those who didn’t unlock it at the time.
