Say what you will about Logan Paul, but he definitely knows how to make money. After purchasing the rarest Pokemon TCG card in the world in 2021: a PSA Grade 10 Pikachu Illustrator for a whopping $5,275,000, he revealed last year that he will be putting it up for auction.
The card, which was listed on auction site Goldin, just got sold for $16,492,000. That’s more than triple of what he originally paid for it. It’s not just the card itself that people are paying for, though. It will come in a custom built case and necklace that Paul wore at Wrestlemania, and the winner will have it hand delivered by him too.
Bids For Logan Paul’s Pikachu Illustrator Card Have Gone Through The Roof
This is something Paul has been planning for quite a while, after acquiring the card in 2021. Besides wearing it at Wrestlemania to probably drive up its perceived value, Paul tried something with it that many people thought falls into the realm of a scam.
At some point between buying the card and May 2024, Paul listed the card on a platform called Liquid Marketplace. The idea behind this platform is that people can buy shares or ‘tokens’ of high-value items like this card. However, Paul eventually revealed that he bought the card back from Liquid Marketplace more than 19 months ago.

He also noted that the funds from that purchase, which should have ideally been distributed to those who bought tokens, haven’t seen any of that profit. Paul didn’t reveal how much he bought the card for, which is odd for someone like him, and he claimed that he was told that the funds were distributed to the concerned party.
However, Liquid Marketplace has since been subjected to “regulatory scrutiny.” Paul’s lack of answers is especially concerning as it turns out that Paul owns Liquid Marketplace. He said he was still speaking to people from the company, but since he’s the co-founder and part-owner, it’s unclear who he’s speaking to. Whatever the case is, the endgame has been fulfilled, netting Paul over $16 million.
