Tomb Raider: Underworld is finally getting the love that it deserves, thanks to an unlockable wetsuit skin for Legacy of Atlantis that you can sign up to get right now.
It’s been a long time since Tomb Raider fans have had anything to get excited about, but that all changed and then some at The Game Awards last night. As promised, the future of the series was finally revealed after years of rumours, leaks, and promises that the next Tomb Raider game was still in development.
Not only are we getting Tomb Raider: Catalyst, the next big game in the series, in 2027, but we’re also getting a remake of the first Tomb Raider that’s called Legacy of Atlantis. Even though it leaked before the show started, it was a huge announcement that showed fans how much love there is for early Tomb Raider games.
Tomb Raider: Legacy Of Atlantis Will Include Lara’s Best Underworld Look
You’ll Need An Amazon Games ID To Get It, Though
As great as it is to see new life breathed into the very first Tomb Raider, it’s fair to say that a lot of Tomb Raider fans have been hoping for some of the less-appreciated games to get some attention. Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld are yet to be remastered, and everyone’s been wondering if they’ve just been forgotten about.
While it now seems unlikely that Anniversary will get brought back, we do at least know that Crystal Dynamics is thinking about Underworld. Shortly after Legacy of Atlantis was revealed, the official Tomb Raider website was updated and, as pointed out by Twitter user CoreDesign_com, an exclusive unlockable skin was revealed.
That skin is none other than the wetsuit that Lara wears right at the start of Tomb Raider: Underworld – the Mediterranean Wetsuit. Underworld may not be the most beloved Tomb Raider game out there, but it’s nice to see it getting a bit more attention now that the series is back in action.
Canonically, Tomb Raider: Underworld is actually the most modern game in the series. Until Catalyst launches next year, that is.
To unlock the Mediterranean Wetsuit, you’ll need to sign up for an Amazon Games iD account through the Tomb Raider website and link it to either your Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox account. Once you’ve done that, the wetsuit will be waiting for you in Legacy of Atlantis when it launches at some point in 2026.
