Kill Bill’s Iconic Vehicle Has Been Censored In Fortnite

Kill Bill’s Iconic Vehicle Has Been Censored In Fortnite

It’s anybody’s guess which property Fortnite will collaborate with next. From in-game concerts to major Star Wars reveals, and even unlocking Mariah Carey during Christmas, the game has done it all. However, a crossover with one of Quentin Tarantino’s bloodiest movies has caught even the most dedicated fans by surprise.

Last week, it was revealed that Fortnite will showcase an unfilmed scene from Kill Bill called The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge. Considering how much blood was spilt, sprayed, and splashed in the movie it’s not surprising that it has been censored for a children’s video game. However, it’s not the blood and decapitation that’s been censored.

Fortnite’s Kill Bill Crossover Has Censored The Pussy Wagon

Yuki calling out to The Bride in Fortnite.

One of the movie’s most iconic scenes is the fight sequence where the bride slices up the entire O-Ren Ishii clan, eventually facing off against Gogo Yubari and her meteor hammer. Yuki’s Revenge will feature a deleted scene featuring Gogo’s sister, a bubblier but equally psychotic version of her sister chasing after the Bride. However, the teaser has revealed that the event has censored the movie’s Pussy Wagon.

A teaser for the event revealed a short cutscene between the Bride and Yuki, but PC Gamer noticed that the name on the back of the pickup truck has been changed. The bright pink ‘Pussy Wagon’ that was embossed on the car in the movie has been changed to show a caricature of a cat, followed by ‘Wagon’. Of course, there was no blood and dismemberment either, but that was expected.

The crossover has been labelled as an “After Dark” property, in an attempt to signal that it leans a bit towards mature content, unlike other collabs. But it’s evident that Fortnite is still taking no chances with this event. It is a bit surprising to see that Tarantino is on board with this, but it does bring his movie to a newer generation.

Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge will kick off in Fortnite on November 30 at 2 PM ET. It stars Uma Thurman and is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.
