The “Space & Me” Cult Parish is one of Romeo is a Dead Man‘s more exploration-heavy levels, and it wastes no time throwing a multi-step puzzle at you. Shortly after arriving and meeting Jenny, you’ll find yourself in an open area with five pedestals, a single cintamani orb, and very little indication of what to do next. The puzzle gates off not just your progression through the level but also a couple of collectibles you won’t want to miss.
It’s not especially difficult once you understand how it works, but the number of pedestals and colour-coded paths can make it easy to waste time running in circles. This guide breaks down what each route contains, so you can grab everything in one easy, clean sweep before moving on.
How To Solve The Cintamani Puzzle
After landing in the parish and being treated to a few scenes that show Romeo meeting Jenny, you’ll quickly come to encounter the main puzzle of the first half of the level: the cintamani puzzle.
Here, you’ll need to find cintamani orbs and use them to activate pedestals in the centre of the area, which will open up new paths for Romeo.
If you search around the area, you can see that the paths are marked by small stones that show you which pedestals should be activated – there are five pedestals and you begin with only one cintamani orb, so you’ll only have one route.
The table below has all the details of the routes you can access.
|
Cintamani Needed |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Purple |
Opens up a route to the east which ends in a barn, inside of which you can find the second cintamani. |
|
Purple, Gold |
Unlocks the northern half of the eastern island, which contains a challenging gauntlet of enemies and hazards, containing some notes and a badge at the end. |
|
Gold, Red |
Opens the path to the central island, which contains some fights and resources to claim. |
|
Red, Silver, |
Opens the path to the western island, which contains some light platforming (easy with air dashes!) and a barn that contains the third cintamani. Also in this area is a path that opens up when the green pedestal is active. With all three, activate the red, silver, and green pedestals and you can reach a badge on the path to the left of the barn. |
|
Silver, Gold, Green |
Opens the path to the rest of the level. |
