Pokemon Pokopia has you revitalising the different areas you visit and encouraging Pokemon to return to the barren land by building habitats that will tempt them back. After a while, you’ll realise it’s hard to keep track of where all the habitats and Pokemon are, though.
Considering your little Pokemon buddies all have specialties that you’ll need to take advantage of, when you want to find a specific ‘mon so you can get your paint, bricks, or whatever else you need, how can you find them? Fortunately, there are a few different ways.
Use Honey If You Know Where Its Habitat Is
If you know where the habitat is of the Pokemon you are trying to find, you can simply use Honey to lure them home. Simply go up to the habitat in question with Honey in hand, and choose to ‘Use’ it. The Pokemon will soon return!
You can easily get Honey from flowers that are sparkling.
However, if you can’t remember where their habitat is, there are a couple of other methods you can use.
Search By Asking Other Pokemon
Go into your Pokedex from the menu, select the Pokemon you are looking for, then use the + button to choose to ‘Search’ for them. The game will confirm you want to search for that Pokemon, and then your ditto will be walking around with their Pokedex in hand.
Go up to any Pokemon while doing this, and they’ll know who you are looking for and comment on where they can be found, with the camera panning in the direction you should be able to find them.
If the Pokemon isn’t native to the area you are asking in, the Pokemon will tell you that they think they live somewhere else. Move to another location and try again there.
Teleport Directly To Its Habitat
The easiest way to find a specific Pokemon, is to Teleport directly to it. Or at least, its habitat. If it’s not there, you can then use the Honey trick to lure it home.
To do this, you need to choose to search for a Pokemon from the Pokedex as we mentioned before, but then you need to speak to a Pokemon with the Teleport Specialty, and they will offer to teleport you there.
You can only use this if the Pokemon you are looking for is within the same area. However, you can get a Teleport Pokemon to follow you through a gate so you can use them in whatever area you need to find your desired Pokemon buddy.
