The saga of finding the earthquake-resistant housing details continues in Arc Raiders, as it seems the project was shut down suddenly and without reason, despite how useful and important the project was. It doesn’t make sense.

Arc Raiders: Keeping An Eye Out Quest Walkthrough
Apparently, highways can make for a good hidden base.
Whatever happened, Shani and the other central figures of Speranza aren’t going to give up on figuring out where the project went. The citizens need that research to have safer homes underground, where it’s safe, as topside is still no safer for the last remnants of humanity. Your next lead takes you to the Blue Gate, and to try to see what MANTIKOR had to do with the project’s cancellation.
Where To Find The MANTIKOR Facilities
For this quest of Shani’s, you’ll be heading to The Blue Gate, and every objective in this quest needs to be completed in one round, or else it won’t count.
You’ll need to head to the underground facilities marked by the blue MANTIKOR logo, and there are two ways to reach the Security Wing where the quest objective is: enter the underground through the Outer Gates at the Checkpoint POI and take the stairs up, or visit the Reinforced Reception on the northern end of the map, and take a combination of ziplines and stairs down.
Going anywhere near the MANTIKOR facilities will trigger the quest objective, but the locked room you need to get into is different than the one unlocked with the Blue Gate Confiscation Room Key, and is instead similar to the fuel-cell-powered doors in Stella Montis.
To reach it, head to the central part of the Security Wing, where the two Ziplines take you up to Reinforced Reception, and look for the blue line painted on the floor.
There’s a room in the Security Wing that’s always shut with a Door Blocker unless it’s been looted, and it contains a variety of good loot, such as a Weapons Crate, metal lockers, and the chance for two Security Breach Lockers inside without containing a key.
Follow the line past a few rooms, take out the Fireballs and Pop Rollers that approach from the long hallway with several arches and broken down robots, and stop when you reach a small, open room with a large shuttered door with an electrical box attached and a desk with several computers on top.
This is the locked door specified by the quest, and the rest of the objectives are inside the room, but it won’t open unless you complete a puzzle in the surrounding area.
How To Get Into The Locked Room
To unlock the door, you need to find three batteries that spawn in white, medium-height battery holders at certain locations around the doors, carry them back to the locked door, and place them in the electrical box attached to the wall.
Multiple players are reporting issues with capacitor holders spawning and the door’s electronics not being properly interactable, even in confirmed locations. However, another player can open the door for you, and you can access the rest of the quest objectives without issue.
There are several potential spawn locations in the surrounding rooms, and we have at least two confirmed locations after several attempts to have the batteries and holders spawn in:
- One may spawn in the alcove near the stairs leading down to the lowest floor of the underground, next to the wall with the yellow graffiti and arrows pointing to some machinery.
- One may spawn beneath the staircase leading to the ziplines up to Reinforced Reception, on the wall with the red graffiti pointing to the left.
The batteries are carried like a fuel cell, so you’ll need to make a few trips back and forth unless a fellow Raider helps you out with the process, but once all three are set, the door will open.
If you don’t see the blue highlight when approaching the electrical box by the door, this is an indication that this quest step is bugged for you, as there should be a blue highlight for placing certain objects, such as when returning Field Crates to a Field Depot.
Where To Get The Dusty Film Reel
Inside the room, you’ll find a variety of loot, but the next quest objective is the tape player located down the stairs and in the right-hand corner of the room.
Interact with it to play the tape and update the quest, then go over to the left side of the wall of monitors and search for the film reel container that resembles a washing machine.
You can complete this puzzle without the quest any time you go to The Blue Gate and get the loot inside, which includes several crates and drawers you can loot, as well as a Weapon Crate.
This will drop the Dusty Film Reel item you need for the final quest objective, and now you can head back to Speranza when you’re ready.
Speak to Shani to complete the quest, and as a reward, you’ll get some EXP, the Warden color for the Patchwork Outfit, and 2,000 Credits on top of everything from the locked room.
