Every Bounty mission in High On Life 2 offers a fairly straightforward, linear mission to progress through on your way to the boss. But once you get to the final mission and begin your hunt for Nipulon, you’ll have the opportunity to choose how the final portion of the mission unfolds based on your collection of choices throughout the game and at its climax.
Collect your arsenal of Gatlian friends and prepare to do a lot more talking and persuading in this mission sandwiched between an action-packed ending to this bizarre journey.
How To Begin The Hunt For Nipulon
After you defeat both Professor Burkel and Bronkin Bucko, your next mission will be to head straight for the CEO of Rhea Pharma: Nipulon. Rest for a bit, then purchase any last-minute upgrades from Jorb’s shop that you may need.
Jump into the RV and head straight into the chaos on the west side of Circuit Arcadia as the decision on legalizing humans as livestock looms.

How To Reach Nipulon On The Top Floor Of Rhea Pharmaceuticals
Head forward up the stairs and into the empty courtyard – almost suspiciously empty.
Enter the main lobby where Nipulon will spring his trap, sending every bounty hunter into the room to hunt you with your newly doubled bounty.
Fight off the hordes of bounty hunters and head to the elevators, where Lizzie will split off to buy you time.
Once you’re on the fifth floor, exit the elevator and fight off another horde of hunters en route to your goal: a high-security keycard.
Follow the breadcrumb trail through the hallways until you reach a room with the blue wizard’s henchmen and ghouls in it. Get rid of them, then head into the next room.
Fight off some enemies until a Rhea employee in a different uniform appears with the keycard — your guns will call them out.
Defeat the Rhea employees and retrieve the keycard from the floor. Then, return to the elevator and use it to ascend to the top floor.
Once you reach the top floor, you’ll have to face another group of bounty hunters who want your head. Repel their attacks and dodge around the room as much as possible, as they’ll come from all sides.
Eventually, while you’re fighting, a Big Mutant mini-boss will appear and begin charging you.
Avoid its attacks and stay on a different elevation level than it at all times in a clever game of Ring around the Rosie to stay alive and get free damage into the mini-boss.
Unfortunately, Helen, the secretary, will let you know that Nipulon has already left, so it’s time for Gene’s plan B.
Follow Gene’s plan and head inside the giant Bounty Hunter museum he just brought you, and make your way toward the Bounty 5000.
Accept the 10,000 peso bounty on Nipulon and head through the portal, taking you to the court hearing.
How To Complete The Court Hearing
Before the court proceedings begin, be aware that there are four ways that this can play out:
-
Fail to provide evidence to defend humans.
- The court rules humans are non-sentient, and Nipulon immediately attacks.
-
Shoot Nipulon during the trial.
- The court immediately rules against you, and Nipulon attacks.
-
Succeed by providing evidence to defend humans.
- You win the trial, enraging Nipulon and causing him to attack.
-
Crumple a sheet of paper and shoot it into the basket on the left.
- You win the trial, enraging Nipulon and causing him to attack.
No matter what you do, you cannot avoid the Nipulon boss fight, but you can change the path by which you reach it.
If you want to take the longer, comprehensive route, you should defend humans against Nipulon’s argument.
- Object to Nipulon, who will bring the security guard you had to attack out to testify against you.
- Bring Griffin P Spencer from the zoo out to testify and even the score at two-two.
-
As OB Oberon testifies, ask her to mention her brother.
- This will hijack a point from Nipulon to make it three-two.
-
Next, call your parents to the stand.
- Object then select Travis’s option, ‘It could’ve been me!’ To get another two points to make it five-to-two
- Object during the bonus witness and mention that ‘humans turned into monsters’ to refute the point.
Doing this will award another two points to humans, seven-to-two. Then, Rhea Pharma will call Apples to the stand. Apples will say he is our friend, but it’s clear that the crowd hates him.
- To gain points, object and distance yourself from Apples, though this will likely end in a seven-to-four score if you fail.
-
Call Tiffany to the stand. She will support humans.
- Nipulon will try to pin Gessie’s death on you, but you should object and defend yourself. Tiffany will support this.
In the end, you’ll get another point, making it eight-to-four. Lastly, Jorb and Mr. Keeps will arrive.
The judge will randomly award each side 50 points.
Object to the point from Rhea about humanity being irresponsible, and say that humans help keep small businesses afloat.
Objecting will net you two more points and make the score 60 to 54.
There will be one more set of witnesses: Gene and Lizzie. This backfires horribly and gives Rhea three points to make it 60 to 57.
Finally, Creature, also known as Creed Turian, will speak up and mention the research and experimentation Nipulon did on him. This will even things out from the last round and give you three more points, making the final score 63-57.
How to Defeat Super Nipulon
The court rules in your favor, which will enrage Nipulon and launch you into a final encounter.
Nipulon is fast and can move around the arena in a flash, so you’ll need to use weapons you feel comfortable with.
Jan and Travis are an excellent choice.
When you erase about 20 percent of Nipulon’s HP, you’ll be transported to another dimension and forced to chase the CEO down.
Once you enter the next phase and are forced to swap to Gus, you need to use his saw Trick Shot to deploy a platform you can grapple onto during your skate through this strange alternate dimension.
Do this three times, and you’ll be able to progress to the next section.
As you grind on a seemingly never-ending rail, keep firing Gus at Nipulon, who will take damage despite being very far away.
- Last, you’ll switch to Sweezy and must use her Time Bubble to slow various spinning objects.
- Pass through the first fan turbine, then fire a shot at the rotating grind wall when it’s horizontal with you.
- Keep moving into the next section, then use Travis and Jan to keep peppering Nipulon with damage.
-
You’ll swap into Sheath’s section and need to connect a zipline from the side of the gap you’re on to one in the distance.
- It’s difficult to see, but keep aiming, and the button prompt will appear.
There’s a grind wall and another section that requires a zipline.
Use the wall to get close enough to the pink button across the gap to connect the zipline, then grind across it. You may need to respawn.
Endure the streamer interlude and keep firing on Nipulon with Sheath while riding your board.
In the Creature section, launch his children into the receptacle directly above the closed portal door.
Use Creature again to jump the gap into the next pipe:
Switch back to Travis and Jan to easily pepper Super Nipulon with shots to lower his health, then do the same after he shoves another humanzapro down your gullet.
Next, use Travis and Jan to elevate some trucks higher so you can progress to the next section.
After comes Bowie’s section, where you’ll need to use Soul Hole and shoot a button directly above a gate to progress.
- You’ll skate to another door, this time with two runes to hit — open it and continue.
- Hit the final three-rune door and progress onward.
- Switch back to Travis and Jan to keep the pressure on Nipulon while you grind toward him on some train tracks.
- Dodge from track to track and keep firing.
- Eventually, you’ll finally bring Nipulon down.
What Rewards Do You Get For Defeating Super Nipulon?
Once you’ve defeated Nipulon, you’ll be rewarded with the final scenes, including the credits and a party in your honor.
After you finish the credit scenes and load back into the game, you’ll be rewarded with a hefty 10,000 Pesos to help you finish purchasing any upgrades you may still need.
