How To Reach Galaxy News Radio Station In Fallout 4

How To Reach Galaxy News Radio Station In Fallout 4

One of the quests included in Fallout 4’s Creation Club content is called The Good Fight. This quest is notable because it allows you to visit the Galaxy News Radio station in the Capital Wasteland. For those who know their Fallout history, that is a place that features in the third game of the series.

You don’t just go there to reminisce about Fallout 3, though. Talon mercs have taken over the place, and you must liberate it with the help of some Good Fighter mercs. Here is a full walkthrough of the quest, detailing how to start it and how to complete every objective.

Start The Quest

To begin the quest, you need to travel to the Lynn Pier parking structure. At the spot, you will find a few Gunners near a Vertibird aircraft.

These are not friendly Gunners as they will shoot you on sight. So, eliminate them.

Corpse of a pilot in Fallout 4.

Once they’ve been dealt with, you need to locate the corpse of the pilot. They’re at the top of the parking structure, really close to the chopper. They’re holding a note (aka Sparrow’s Note) that you need to read. Therefore, loot it, then go into your Pip-Boy to read it.

The note provides a brief explanation of what happened to the pilot. It also asks you to take the chopper and fly off to the Capital Wasteland to save the GNR from Talon Mercs. After reading the note, interact with the aircraft to start your journey.

Defeat The Talon Mercs

Once you land, head inside the GNR Building through the double doors, go down the stairs, and head through the door that takes you to the Plaza.

When you get here, you may notice that there are a lot of indicators on the map. Each one is a Talon merc for you to kill. You don’t have to hunt them all individually like a predator, though. Once you attack a single one of them, they all start fighting you, but you’re backed up by the Good Fighter mercs.

You must kill all of the hostile mercs. However, they will then have reinforcements that come from various directions, so you must get rid of them, too. The battle against them isn’t incredibly tough if you’re a high-enough level. However, crouching behind cover is recommended for these fights.

Storm The Galaxy News Radio Station

With the Plaza cleared, you need to enter the main GNR building. The entrance is where the Talon mercs originally stood before the fight began.

Once you get inside, the combat starts again, as you need to battle your way to the studio. This means going up the stairs while killing every Talon merc in your path.

Fighting Hatton in Fallout 4.

On the top floor, you find the boss. His name is Hatton, and he has some impressive-looking armor. The fight with him is in pretty close quarters, so make sure to have a weapon suitable for that sort of situation. He shouldn’t be too hard to kill.

With him dead, you can turn off the Transmission beacon. To do so, use the terminal that is in the same room Hatton was in. You can find it among the wall of computers. Interact with the terminal, then select ‘shut off transmission.’

This serves as the end of the quest.

After finishing the quest, you can talk to some of the Good Fighter mercs and recruit them for your settlements.
