If you’ve been playing Genshin Impact for a while, you might already be used to the normal cycle of getting an update every six weeks, which usually brings new quests, areas, and characters to the game. However, sometimes these updates also bring brand-new game modes, which is the case with the Version Luna II update.
This is arguably one of the biggest updates in the game as it launches the Miliastra Wonderland mode, which offers an infinite amount of gameplay. In this mode, you can create your own games while also playing experiences created by other players for free.
How To Access Miliastra Wonderland
Genshin Impact has been out for over five years now, and if you’ve never played the game, you’ll easily have to spend over 100 hours to catch up with the main story. Thankfully, if you want to take part in Miliastra Wonderland, you don’t have to do nearly as much since this mode gets unlocked during the first act of the prologue itself.
During the prologue, there will be a moment when you’ll be in Jean’s office with a bunch of other characters. When the dialogue here ends, Miliastra Wonderland will automatically get unlocked. You can access this mode by clicking on the button on the top right of your screen, right beside the events button.
This button takes you directly to the games, but you’ll first enter a random lobby and then be able to enter the game.
Once you have Miliastra Wonderland unlocked, you’ll also get a special menu at the bottom of the main menu that lets you access all the main sections of the game mode. Furthermore, the Manekin will join as a playable character in your open world, and you can level them up by upgrading your Wonderland level.
How To Play Games
As mentioned above, Miliastra Wonderland is an experience designed to have infinite gameplay since you have a vast set of games to choose from, with most of them being multiplayer and offering replayability. There are mainly two ways to enter the screen where you can browse games:
- You can either press the button on the top right when you’re in the normal open world to directly reach the game catalog.
- Or if you’re in a lobby already, you can interact with the big orb with a hat to enter the catalog.
Once you’re in the catalog screen, you’ll see the games being divided into three sections. The first section has the current most popular games, and you can swap through these to find the perfect one for you. The area after that contains the most popular monthly games, and you can slide through these too.
Finally, the last section contains a bunch of games, with each one having its genre written in yellow. If none of these experiences catches your eye and you’re looking for something specific, you can click on the “All Wonderland” button on the top right. This shows you all the experiences with the ability to sort them based on popularity and various other criteria.
If you’re looking for a multiplayer game, it’s recommended to sort them by popularity since the queues will increase if the game’s popularity is lower.
The multiplayer experience of Miliastra Wonderland is very similar to the multiplayer events like Windtrace. If you’re playing on high ping, you’ll notice quite a big delay in your actions. Once you successfully achieve victory in a Wonderland, your rank and overall position on the leaderboard for it will go up.
How To Get New Outfits
One of the main attractions of Miliastra Wonderland is undoubtedly the different ways you can dress your Manekin. Since you can also take these characters into the normal world, it opens up the possibility for a ton of cool pictures and moments. There are mainly two ways to get outfits in this mode:
- You can gacha for them by spending real money on the limited banner or Geode of Replication in the standard banner.
- Alternatively, you can complete various tasks in the battlepass or the Wonderland exploration section, though the latter is a one-time thing.
Once you’ve received an outfit on the former, you have to use a few other items to craft it, which you can only get by acquiring duplicates. The rewards you receive from the latter are directly added as clothes to your wardrobe. You can open this screen by clicking on the top-right icon when you’re in a Wonderland lobby and change your character’s clothes as you desire.
How To Increase Wonderland Level
As mentioned above, you can upgrade your Manekin’s level and talent levels in the open world by upgrading your Wonderland level. The simple trick to upgrading your Wonderland level is by playing the game mode a ton, since anything you do in it gives you EXP. Here are the main criteria to get EXP:
- Play any stage.
- Increase your rank in any Wonderland.
- Get a better leaderboard position in any Wonderland.
- Complete an achievement for any Wonderland.
Depending on the experience you’re playing, farming EXP for your Wonderland level can take a different amount of time.
How To Make Your Game
A lot of us have thought about making our own game at some point, and Miliastra Wonderland lets you do just that. The best part is that you don’t need any coding knowledge to do this. However, you do have to go through a giant guide explaining all the inner workings of the system so that you can build your own world.
To start making your game, you can click on the leftmost icon on the top right side of your screen while in a Miliastra Wonderland lobby. Here, you can both create a new save or work on your existing one. You can also find some templates for the games if you head over to the game catalog screen and click on the button to the left of “All Wonderland”.
