After you get through the prologue of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, the game will throw a bunch of quests at you where you’ll slowly learn the secrets of Seattle. However, most of these quests will require you to fight a bunch of Anarchs or Sabbat enemies for the most part as you make your way through various buildings.
After all this, you’ll get quite surprised when you finally get a quest where you have to stealth around again and can’t go rampaging, which is what happens in the Little Book Of Blackmail quest. Here’s the path you can follow in the police station to beat this quest easily.
How To Unlock Little Book Of Blackmail Quest
Before you start snooping around the Seattle Police Department, you’ll first have to get the Little Book Of Blackmail quest from Tolly. This quest becomes available after you beat To Founder On The Lethe quest, which takes you on a journey to locate Willem and then escape from his illusion by defeating a bunch of puppets.
When this quest ends, you’ll unlock three branching main quests, and one of them can be taken from Tolly at The Dutchman. Once you enter the required building, you can find Tolly by going through the entrance hallway and then entering a door to the right of the stage area on the right side of the bar.
You don’t have to go up any stairs to find him since the room you’re looking for is on the bottom floor.
After taking this quest from Tolly, you can follow the blue marker to reach the Seattle P.D. building, where you’ll be able to progress through this quest.
How To Retrieve Benny’s Book
To get your hands on Benny’s little book of blackmail, you first have to go through the airlock of the police station by entering through two doors. You’ve already been through this area multiple times in Fabien’s flashbacks, but this time you won’t be able to stroll around normally. As soon as you go through the second door, it’s recommended to crouch.
From here, take the path on your left until you reach another path leading forward in the room. Get to the end of this path and wait for the police officer on your right to start moving away. This will let you get to Benny’s room, but it’ll be locked. After interacting with the door, keep moving to the right and you can take the stairs leading down to Fabien’s room.
It’s important to stay crouched throughout this quest as the police officers will hear you otherwise.
After going down the stairs, you’ll find a vent right behind them, which leads you to the cell area below. The prisoner here will start talking, which will attract the police officers and you’ll have to wait for them to arrive. Once the police officer gets to the cell and stands near it, you can go behind him and jump across the desk to get through the room.
Once you get through the room, take the exit on your right and you’ll find Fabien’s room, though it’ll be locked as well. To get the key for this room, you first have to distract the nearby police officer by throwing an item on the far right corner of the room. Once he goes there, you can take the left path and reach the Evidence Room entrance.
In this room, you’ll find the key in the back, which will let you progress the quest. From here, you can easily go back to Fabien’s room, take the vent in the right corner, and pick up the book from Benny’s room. After getting the book, you can normally walk out of the police station and give it to Tolly to finish the quest.
