Leveling up is not only a great way to show off your progress to friends and allies in Dungeon Rampage, but it is also one of the main ways to gain Gems, an essential currency used to purchase more heroes.
Each hero is leveled up separately, allowing you to farm for red Crystals using a different hero each time, and try their powers as you run through each dungeon level. Here is everything you need to know about how to level up your heroes and unlock more red crystals fast in Dungeon Rampage.
How To Level Up In Dungeon Rampage
In Dungeon Rampage, you level up your heroes by using them to fight through each dungeon level. Each hero levels up individually as they play, meaning you won’t be able to level up a Ranger while playing as a Berserker, for instance.
As you slice and shoot your way through each dungeon, your foes will drop blue stars. These are your level-up points, so collect every one of them as you go. It doesn’t matter who collects them – you or your teammates – as everyone gains the EXP from whatever is collected.
The bigger the EXP star, the more EXP it gives! Don’t leave any behind.
It is much easier to level up during the early stages of your hero’s journey, as it takes less EXP to gain each level. As you progress, however, you will find you need more EXP than before to gain another level.
There are a couple of ways to farm EXP and level up your heroes as you play. First, you can join friends as they complete dungeons, to gain the EXP as you join their half-completed dungeon run. Second, you can keep defeating bosses to gain large chunks of EXP in one go.

Farming EXP With Friends
Farming EXP is easy when you have friends to join. Although you will be joined by random players whenever you attempt a dungeon crawl, it is best to go with friends.
It is highly recommended that you consistently add players as friends when you start playing Dungeon Rampage. Friends can send free gifts to each other, and carry each other through difficult dungeons if they need to.
Never give up on a dungeon run if you want to keep the EXP you have gained. If you abandon the dungeon, you abandon your EXP. Use Heal Bombs to revive yourself or the team to stay in the fight.
When you are in the Town, and you see a friend who is already in a dungeon, you can click Join and go straight to wherever they are during that run. If they are almost at the end of the run, and you are there for the Victory announcement, you still receive all the EXP you would have gained if you had been there from the start.
Farming EXP With Boss Fights
After completing boss fights, you can return to those stages at any time. Boss battles offer large EXP rewards and are worth farming for EXP to level up your heroes.
The easiest bosses to farm are the Rookie League boss Papa Yeti in the Ice Water Caverns and the Gladiator League Cretaceous Park boss. They are both fast to find and defeat. Once Papa Yeti is defeated, you gain 125 EXP, while the Cretaceous Park boss offers 250 EXP.
It is simple enough to make your way straight to the boss and defeat him, but you can also rake in some extra EXP by taking out the groups of enemies to either side.
