As in many survival games, you can grow your own crops in Misery. You can create a small orchard and have your base decorated with your vegetables, ready to consume or save. The process is simple, and you’ll want to start it as soon as possible for the following reason.
Each time you return to your bunker, even if you respawn after dying, you’ll notice that your stats don’t charge automatically. That’s why you would need to have some vegetables growing all the time, so you can return home to some guaranteed food. Learn how to grow crops in Misery with this guide.
How To Find And Plant Seeds
You can find seeds pretty much everywhere in Misery. Sometimes they will be on shelves in some buildings, and other times you can even find them in corpses out in the open or cupboards inside abandoned houses.
Once you have a seed of any vegetable, you’ll need to craft a Small Crop and use something as fuel (fertilizer). To craft the Small Crop, you’ll need Plastic x5 and Wood x2. Plastic is easily gathered after drinking bottles of water, and Wood spawns randomly in many places.
As fuel, you can use Human Poop, which your character will randomly drop after eating. You can also find it while exploring. Another, more durable fuel is Ash, which you can get by incinerating Garbage or Human Bones. And of course, you can add water from Water Bottles to this process.
To use the Incinerator, you’ll need electricity in your bunker. Check out our guide on how to generate it.
When you have everything, put the Small Crop outside the bunker, add the seed in Convert, and the fertilizers in fuel. Press the button right next to Turn On, and the percentage below your seed will start to grow. Once it reaches 100 percent, the Storage tab will have the vegetables you grew, ready for consumption or storage.
