The Trials Of Kindness quest is the first part of your adventure in Crimson Desert, as you try arm wrestling and encounter a strange lady in the sewers. As part of this quest, you are told to enter Hernand Castle – but to enter you need to wear specific gear, or try your luck by sneaking around. If you don’t do this, the guards will not let you into the castle.
Thankfully, the game points you in the direction of the attire you need to enter the castle. It’s actually part of the previous part of the quest, but the outfit can be easily overlooked if you don’t read the tooltips.
How To Access Hernand Castle In Crimson Desert
To get easy access to Hernand Castle, you first need to complete the Actions Speak Louder Than Words quest south of the city. This will appear highlighted on your map.
Head over to the farms just south of the city walls, and speak to the two villagers next to a building with smoke pouring out of it. This is located just next to Muckroot Ranch.
They’ll give you a broom and task you with cleaning the chimney. Climb on to the rooftop with the broom and clean the chimney – I had to stand directly on top of the chimney for this to work.
Check at the back of the house, there’s a Palmar Pill there, which will provide you with a 30 percent health revival when you die. It’s just on top of the stacked boxes.
As a reward, you will receive Hernandian Attire, which will allow you to pass the guards at the gate to the castle. Just equip the chest piece, and then the guards won’t stop you at the gate.
Once inside, you can check out the reputation vendor to see what you can buy with Hernand reputation, and also pick up the free recipe in the castle kitchen. As well as continue with your quests, of course.
You can use Hernandian Attire to enter the castle at a later date, or, if you’ve purchased any of the Canta Armor set, that will also provide free entry into the castle.
