You can wear the helmets! Dark Horse has not only confirmed to TheGamer that its Helldivers replica helmets can be worn, but they are designed to be worn. “They will have an interior that makes it wearable and there is a layer between the front shell and your head, including an adjustable overhead band,” Dark Horse clarified in its response. So there you have it. Pop on your $180 Helldivers helmets and go out into the world to find each other and defend Super Earth together.
Original story: Two years on from its blockbuster release, the creators of Helldivers 2 have teamed up with Dark Horse again to bring the hit game’s experience one step closer to reality. Revealed over the weekend, you can now buy 1:1 replicas of some of the helmets from Helldivers 2, and as far as I can see, there’s nothing on their store pages saying you shouldn’t wear them.
Dark Horse Opens Pre-Orders For Its Replica Helldivers 2 Helmets
There are three Helldivers helmets available directly through Dark Horse, all of which are available to pre-order now. There’s the B-01 Tactical Helmet, which is the grey and yellow model that likely pops into your head whenever you pull up the stock image of a Helldiver. For those of you who want your fellow Helldivers to think you’ve seen some action, there’s a battle-damaged version of that same design.
If you want something a little different, the third and final helmet in Dark Horse’s new Helldivers collection is the black B-22 Model Citizen headwear. The helmet was a part of the Model Citizen armor set that was gifted to all players almost exactly one year ago to mark the sequel’s first anniversary.
Unlike the previous crossover between Dark Horse and Helldivers that brought with it 1:4 scale replicas of some of the game’s helmets, these latest offerings are 1:1 scale replicas. That means they are the same size as they appear on your Helldivers’ heads in the game. That, in turn, means, in theory, you can wear them, although I’m unable to find anything on their store pages confirming whether these helmets are wearable or not.
We have reached out to Dark Horse for confirmation on whether you can wear these things. No, really, we have. I need to know.
Helldivers 2 Replica Helmet Prices And Pre-Order Dates
Even if you can wear these helmets, I’m not sure I’d recommend doing so, or even taking them outside of the house at all, for that matter. These are exact replicas, remember, which means they command a lofty asking price. If you want one of these helmets, whether it be to complete the perfect John Helldiver cosplay or just to proudly display it in your home, it’s going to set you back $179.99 to make that happen.
You’ll need to decide whether you want one of these pricey Helldivers helmets fast, too, as even though pre-orders are now open for all three designs, they won’t stay that way forever. You only have until April 2, 2026, to place your pre-orders. You’ll then have a potential wait on your hands as the helmets aren’t expected to ship until October 2026, and potentially not until January of next year. On the bright side, you’ll have it in plenty of time to wear it to the Helldivers movie, which is set to hit theaters late next year, in which Jason Momoa will be wearing a helmet just like yours.
