GTA 6 Marketing Set To Begin This Summer

GTA 6 Marketing Set To Begin This Summer

Grand Theft Auto 6 is now just over nine months away, if the game’s latest release date holds firm. Thanks to multiple delays that have come from seemingly nowhere, and Take Two’s insistence that it would meet release dates in the past, there are loads of questions surrounding whether November 19 will finally be the day that GTA 6 lands on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

However, Take Two has sounded more and more confident in recent months that November is the real deal, and we may have just got our surest sign yet that Rockstar is intending to hit its goal this time. According to Take-Two’s Q3 2026 earnings results, which were released earlier today, it’s been revealed that GTA 6’s big launch marketing campaign will begin this summer.

Of course, that’s not outright confirmation that November 19 is an unshakable release date. We know video game development is unpredictable and can change at any moment, but Take Two putting down a bunch of money for GTA 6 marketing is a sign that the publisher is confident about the date. You wouldn’t start a summer marketing campaign for a game releasing in 2027, would you?

Avoiding leaks is paramount for Rockstar.

Another very good sign that Rockstar is sticking to November 19 is that Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick basically said as much at the start of the earnings call, confirming that the release date is still the same date as it was before, and that Take Two is still expecting a significant amount of net booking for the fiscal year. All signs are pretty positive.

It is worth noting that Zelnick himself has sounded pretty confident during these earnings calls before, pretty much because he has to. He’s telling investors what they want to hear, and often that has resulted in delays being announced even when he’s stuck to certain release dates. However, this new confirmation, along with marketing starting this summer, is a pretty surefire indication that both Take Two and Rockstar are more confident than ever in its release date. Now, we just cross our fingers and hope they’re right.
