For the third time in as many months, hosting service Cloudflare has bit the dust. This means that many, many popular games and services that rely on the product are facing problems. This includes the likes of Fortnite, Roblox, The PlayStation Network, Apex Legends, and Rocket League.
Ironically, Down Detector, the site many people use to check whether their favorite services are down, has also gone down. Thankfully, Downdetector’s Downdetector’s Downdetector’s Downdetector has confirmed it is.
Fortnite, Roblox, And The PlayStation Network Among Massive Gaming Services Impacted By Latest Cloudflare Outage
Somebody really has it out for Cloudflare. The hosting service has experienced three major outages in the past three months, and it’s likely due to DDoS attacks. It survived a record 29.7 Tbps attack just over 24 hours ago, but it looks like it was unable to withstand whatever has happened today.
Reports of the latest outage surfaced around 9 am GMT/4 am ET/1 am PT, and have continued ever since, with the outage affecting many of the internet’s most popular services.
The outage has hit popular games like Fortnite and Roblox, with social media flooded with complaints, and other services like LinkedIn have also suffered.
Cloudflare has stated that “a fix has been implemented,” and that it is “monitoring the results,” but those results have yet to be seen.
