Playground Games won’t just have Forza Horizon 6 to put out on PS5 this year: it’s now confirmed it is making Fable for PS5 too, and it’s launching day and date with the Xbox Series X|S and PC versions this Autumn 2026. Catch the newest gameplay teaser above.
While the first three Fable games never made their way across to PlayStation, this new entry is a “new beginning” that’s “designed to capture the heart and humor that defined the original trilogy while bringing contemporary storytelling, world design, and player agency to the forefront. Fans of the classic games will recognize the series’ signature blend of choice and consequence, dry British wit, and playful moral chaos – yes, chickens included.”

The game will be entirely open world, and the combat in it is focused on “a new style weaving philosophy” that lets you “fluidly blend melee, ranged, and magic to create their preferred fighting identity. Classic Fable creatures make a return, alongside new threats that fit the tone of a world balancing fairytale charm with modern action RPG depth.”
