Fortnite’s annual Winterfest has returned for another year, bringing back the Cosy Cabin and an array of free cosmetic presents for you to unwrap.
But there’s a catch! This year, any days you miss won’t stack, so you need to login daily and open your presents to get everything.
There are 14 gifts this year, and the promotion will run until 5th January. That means you can only really miss three days if you hope to get the lot. (And if you’re going on vacation for the holidays then sorry but you’re sh*t out of luck.)
Opening seven presents will unlock the Glacial Dummy Outfit, while you can claim Cheeks – a hamster in an ugly sweater – after you’ve opened 13 gifts. There are various other unlocks along the way, including new instruments, back blings, gliders and wraps.
Understandably the Fortnite community is a little aggravated by this change to the format, but Epic Games is in the business of player retention, and this is one way to ensure it, eh?
