Dispatch‘s latest update has made it harder to see one of the game’s most bittersweet scenes, which a lot of players were getting whether they wanted to or not.
Ever since Dispatch’s first few episodes released, there’s one big decision that’s completely split the community – are you team Blonde Blazer or team Invisigal? While picking a romance is usually quite easy in choose-your-own-adventure games, that’s not quite the case with Dispatch, as both Courtney and Mandy are perfect fits for Robert in their own unique ways.
Spoilers for Dispatch’s last two episodes to follow.
Strangely, though, some Dispatch players found that even if they were going for a Blonde Blazer romance playthrough, they were still triggering a rather intimate scene between Robert and Invisigal in Episode 7. That issue seems to have been mostly ironed out in the game’s most recent update.
Don’t Worry, Invisigal Won’t Kiss You So Easily In Dispatch Anymore
Blonde Blazer Romance Runs No Longer Have To Be So Awkward
For those who don’t know, Dispatch Episode 7 features a scene where Robert and Invisigal talk in SDN’s locker room, where it’s revealed that Courtney used to work for Shroud. It’s an emotional scene that’s followed up by a bittersweet goodbye kiss between the two, which is perfect if you’re romancing Invisigal, but more than a little awkward if Blonde Blazer is your endgame.

Dispatch Not Really Being A Game Is What Makes It A Game Of The Year Contender
Adhoc Games evolves upon the Telltale formula in some incredibly ways with Dispatch.
That’s because Invisigal kissing Robert wasn’t dependent on whether you had gone on a date with her, and was actually tied to one of the game’s secret counters called “Sweet Exit”, which, as highlighted by zero-sumgames, is measured by dialogue choices. Previously, you only needed a score of five to get Invisigal to kiss you, which meant that it happened to a lot of players who weren’t gunning for the romance.
This patch also fixed the infamously broken Hacked by Robert achievement that was stopping many players from hitting 100 percent completion.
As highlighted in a post by Redditor DANKSPARTAN_69, the latest patch for Dispatch notes that it includes “conditional outcome tuning to balance character relationships in episodes 7 & 8”. What this actually means is that AdHoc has raised the secret counter requirement for Invisigal to kiss Robert when the pair say goodbye. It’s now 10 Sweet Exit points instead of just five.
If all the numbers and secret counters are confusing you, all of this basically means that players now need to be a lot more purposeful about romancing Invisigal to trigger the locker room kiss. This should feasibly stop any awkward moments when you’re either trying to romance Blonde Blazer or just want to be platonic friends with both her and Invisigal.
