Dispatch fans have near-unanimously decided who they’d cut from the Z-Team if they were given a choice outside of Sonar and Coupe, and I’m guessing it’s exactly who you’re thinking of.
Although it seems like most people think that Dispatch’s hardest-hitting choice is whether you choose to go on a date with Invisigal or Blonde Blazer, the real highlight of the game actually appears one episode earlier. Just as Robert is finding his feet in the Z-Team, he’s asked to cut either Sonar or Coupe from the roster.
Who you pick actually has a pretty big and noticeable impact on Dispatch’s story, making it a memorable moment that doesn’t really get talked about enough with shipping taking up most of the conversation. The one thing that most fans agree on, though, is that both Sonar and Coop deserved better, and that there’s someone else who really should have been on the chopping block.
Everyone Thinks Flambae Should Have Been Cut From The Z-Team In Dispatch
But Then You Wouldn’t Get His Iconic Single, “I’m A B**ch, My Name Is Robert”
Over on the Dispatch subreddit, JimHFD103 asked a question that I can’t believe has taken the community so long to get to. While Dispatch forces you to pick whether to cut Sonar or Coupe, JimHFD103 asked everyone who’d they cut from the Z-Team if they were given free reign, pointing out that Robert absolutely would have wanted to cut Flambae at that point in the game.

Dispatch Not Really Being A Game Is What Makes It A Game Of The Year Contender
Adhoc Games evolves upon the Telltale formula in some incredibly ways with Dispatch.
I’m sure you can guess where this is going, but the thread near-unanimously agreed that Flambae is the obvious candidate for being cut from the team. Not only is he the most abrasive character in Dispatch hands down, but he also likely would be up for cutting since he’s obviously starting fires himself and then fixing them to increase his position on the leaderboard.
That’s not even counting all of his beef with Robert, which nearly leads to him being killed if you choose to reveal that you’re Mecha Man. Sure, Sonar and Coop also try and kill Robert later on in the game when they team up with Shroud, but that’s actually addressed and dealt with at the end, while Flambae’s actions are just waved away.
Interestingly, the second character that’s mentioned the most is Invisigal, with many arguing that she doesn’t make a great impression in her first episodes and is actually bottom of the leaderboard up until the final moments. Plot armour, though.
Pretty much everyone in the thread agrees that Flambae is the only real choice for a Z-Team cut, and much more deserving of being kicked out than Sonar or Coupe. As long as we all agree that Punch-Up, Golem, Prism, Malevola, and Waterboy are absolutely off-limits, then I’m happy.
Anthem Deserved Better Before It Was Shut Down, But It Was Never Going To Get It
BioWare’s looter shooter was doomed to fail, but it still deserved so much better.
