Critical Role CEO Wants To See Dispatch Season 2 As Quickly As Possible

Critical Role CEO Wants To See Dispatch Season 2 As Quickly As Possible

It looks like AdHoc’s previously announced Critical Role game isn’t going to get in the way of a potential second season of Dispatch, as even Critical Role’s CEO wants to see it “as soon as possible”.

From the moment the internet started arguing about whether Invisigal is better for Robert than Blonde Blazer, I think we all knew that Dispatch was going to be a hit. It’s one of the biggest surprises of 2025, and has had people begging for a second season as soon as the first officially wrapped up a few weeks ago.

Although AdHoc seems happy to do more Dispatch, it’s become pretty clear that it hadn’t planned for Dispatch to be quite the hit that it is, and certainly wasn’t thinking ahead to Season 2. The most recent update we’ve had on a possible second season is when AdHoc revealed it was days away from sitting down and deciding on the matter, which might have just got a little easier.

Critical Role Want To See Dispatch Season 2 Just As Much As We All Do

Looks Like AdHoc Has Its Full Support, Even With The Critical Role Game In Development

One of the key arguements that some fans have made for Dispatch season 2 not happening is that AdHoc is already working on a new game, one that’s set in Critical Role’s world of Exandria. Since Critical Role was, pardon the pun, critical in getting Dispatch out in the first place, many have assumed that it would get in the way of Dispatch season 2, especially with AdHoc recognising the time constraints.

Dispatch Not Really Being A Game Is What Makes It A Game Of The Year Contender

Adhoc Games evolves upon the Telltale formula in some incredibly ways with Dispatch.

Well, it seems like that might not actually be an issue after all. Over on the Dispatch subreddit, Trickside shared a video of the Critical Role team speaking at a GalaxyCon convention. In the video, Critical Role’s CEO, Travis Willingham, took a moment to shout out Dispatch and AdHoc, while commenting on the season two situation.

Willingham noted that, “just like everybody else”, the Critical Role team wants to see Season 2 as quickly as possible. That already makes it sound like the Dispatch team has the green light to focus on a second season, but Willingham noted that there’s been a conversation about how the team can do both, and how to prioritise.

Just like everybody else, we want to see Season 2 stuff as quickly as possible. So, there’s a conversation around can we do both, how do we prioritise that stuff, and then also having new conversations with other partners. – Travis Willingham

Of course, it all depends on whether AdHod actually wants to make a second season of Dispatch, which is still yet to be said. Either way, it’s going to take a decent amount of time to get going, but it’s nice to know that the Critical Role team is 100 percent behind AdHoc whatever happens.
