Animal Crossing games have always had fun holiday events we look forward to throughout the year, but if you’re looking for a fun activity on a feast day, look no further than the Turkey Day event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, tasking you with prepping all kinds of tasty treats.
As you help Franklin prepare a banquet in the Plaza, he’ll be rewarding you with all kinds of limited-time holiday decoration items to help keep your homes feeling festive, too. Source the ingredients to prepare these four fabulous feast items and enjoy a cute festive occasion with your villager pals.
Turkey Day Overview
If you’re logging into Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Thanksgiving in the United States, a floating holiday that occurs on the last Thursday of November, you’ll be able to participate in the Turkey Day event by going to the plaza outside of Town Services beginning at 9am and running through to midnight that day.
In the Plaza, you’ll see Franklin the turkey chef, standing before a large spread on a table and trying to prepare dishes for the feast later that day, but he’s missing ingredients for the recipes!
That’s where you come in – Franklin will ask you for a few of the ingredients, tasking you with four fetch quests to help get the town ready for the festivities. Each one has an initial ingredient he asks for outright, but each dish also has one secret ingredient per meal that will cause Franklin to offer you a second reward for the same task.
These will often be similar ingredients to what you’ve found for him already, either different kinds of fish, colors of pumpkin, kinds of crops, and more.
There are a few ways you can get these ingredients. The primary way to get ingredients for Turkey Day in ACNH is to source ingredients yourself from out around your island. Franklin will be asking for fish, produce, and more, so you’ve likely got some of this stuff growing if you’ve set yourself up with a garden using the crop seeds in-game.
Additionally, you can find villagers cooking in their houses. They, like Franklin, will be missing an ingredient for what they’re making, and they’ll ask you to get it for them as well. Should you complete this for them, this specific villager will reward you with an ingredient for your Turkey Day quests as a thanks.
Participate in the event during the 9am to noon time frame and enjoy a fun Thanksgiving holiday with your ACNH villagers!
