Creating a garden in Heartopia is easy, though you’ll need to invest in the right materials and spend time setting up the perfect layout. With any luck, you’ll trigger crossbreeding flowers early on and get the right colors without much trouble.
We’re here to help you learn the ins and outs of gardening in Heartopia. From planning your garden space to which crops and flowers will work best for you, here’s everything you need to know to make your gardening hobby flourish! Here’s to all the lovely decorations and delicious dishes you’ll make with your harvests in your new home.
How To Plant A Garden
One of the first skills you’ll learn is gardening, and Blanc is a great mentor. He’ll give you the initial plots and the watering can you’ll need to get started. First, place the plots on your Home Lot, then approach them with a bag of seeds from your inventory.

Sea how many fish you can catch!
Plant the seeds in the garden, then use your watering can to keep the soil hydrated. This will help you increase the quality of your crops, and you can purchase additional seeds and tools from Blanc as your level grows. You’ll find him at his shop on Garden Street in town!
As your crops grow, you may need to pull out weeds that appear.
Using Fertilizer will help increase the quality of your harvest, while using the Growth Booster purchased from Blanc will reduce the growth time of your crops.
Eventually, you’ll unlock Flower Seeds, which work differently than crops. Firstly, flowers cannot be planted in boxes–they must be planted in bare soil on your lot. Once placed, they cannot be moved until they mature the following day.
Flowers have a chance to crossbreed when placed near each other, producing all new colors!
