Black Flag’s Sea Shanties Are Now On Ubisoft’s YouTube

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag hasn’t been officially revealed yet, but there has been a ton of information pointing towards an imminent announcement. From insider information to PEGI ratings, it’s evident that Ubisoft is planning to launch the game soon. However, the latest development is sure to be something that fans will appreciate.

Stabbing sailors, plundering booty, and getting into naval battles were major draws of Black Flag, but the game’s sea shanties were what gave it a soul. Even if you’ve forgotten the plot after all these years, you surely remember sailing across the Caribbean Sea as your crew sang a melancholic sea shanty. Ubisoft Music has now added all of those shanties to its YouTube page.

Eighteen sea shanties from Black Flag have been added to Ubisoft Music’s YouTube page, in what everyone thinks is just another clue building up to the remake’s announcement. The Ubisoft Music YouTube page regularly publishes soundtracks from new projects like the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora DLC and the Splinter Cell Deathwatch TV show, so adding songs from a 12 year old game is definitely suspicious.

Of course, the comments on most of the videos were about how the Black Flag remake is one of the worst kept secrets in the industry, and that Ubisoft should just announce the game already. At this point you have to think that the studio is just messing with fans, continuously dropping a few breadcrumbs at a time. At this rate, don’t be surprised if it gets shadowdropped on a random weekday afternoon.

Black Flag Is The Only Assassin’s Creed With Modern Day Sections Worth Caring About

I’m going to miss sneaking around Abstergo Industries from a first-person perspective.

It may still be a month or two before the Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag remake is launched, especially given everything that’s going on at Ubisoft at the moment. However, this collection of sea shanties is the perfect way to get into the pirate mood before Edward Kenway and the crew of the Jackdaw make their long awaited return. Until then, we’re just waitin’ for the day, till we get our remake.
