Ubisoft still hasn’t confirmed whether the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake is real. Various leaks certainly make it seem like it is though, and now a listing on Vinted has Assassin’s Creed fans even more convinced, and a little confused, that we’ll be stepping back into the boots of Edward Kenway before the end of 2026.
I’ve covered countless leaks over the years, but evidence of an unannounced game release rearing its head on Vinted, a site primarily used for reselling vintage collectibles, is a new one on me. It’s the perfect place to sell an Edward Kenway statue you want to offload, though, which is exactly what seems to be happening here.
There’s What Appears To Be An Unreleased Black Flag Statue For Sale On Vinted Right Now
The thing is, it isn’t an old Edward Kenway statue from Black Flag’s original release. It’s a brand new one that isn’t available to buy yet, or at least that’s what the seller is claiming. The statue features Kenway sitting on a chair, Black Flag’s flag behind him, a sword in his hand, and a pile of gold coins at his feet.

Insider Claims Assassin’s Creed Black Flag’s Remake Was About To Go Gold, Now Won’t Launch Until FY2027
The remake was reportedly supposed to go gold in less than two weeks.
The listing has started to attract the attention of Assassin’s Creed fans, and for good reason. Even if the statue isn’t specifically tied to the rumored remake, it would be odd for Ubisoft to randomly release a new Kenway statue in 2026 for no reason. Hence why, if this statue is real, and it appears to be, the belief that a Black Flag remake is coming, and coming soon, has been bolstered significantly.
It Seems To Be The Real Deal, But The Seller Won’t Reveal How They Got It
Various Assassin’s Creed fan accounts have been reaching out to the seller in an attempt to get more information and figure out what’s going on. To support their claim that the statue will be revealed, and potentially released, in 2026, they’ve shared an image of what appears to be the statue’s base or the bottom of its stand. On it, there’s a release year, 2026, along with confirmation that it was created by Pure Arts, a company well-known for making high-end collectibles tied to video games.
The seller is currently unwilling to reveal how exactly they’ve managed to get their hands on this seemingly very real piece of Black Flag merch, and that’s probably wise. The man who played Kenway in the original version of Black Flag hinted at a remake last year, only to reveal shortly after that he was threatened with legal action by Ubisoft. If the statue is real, those same lawyers will be sending out the virtual sniffer dogs right about now to try and figure out where it came from and how this happened.
