When you first enter the Topside during a raid in Arc Raiders, you’ll be very overwhelmed by the sheer number of different items you can get as loot. While these items might have their own rarity, some of the items without a rarity can easily be one of the hardest things to get.
Prickly Pears are one of the best examples of this since you need six of them to upgrade your Scrappy, and they can also be used to get some stamina during a raid. However, depending on your luck, these items can easily take you hours to farm, especially if you don’t know where to look.
How To Get Prickly Pears
To get yourself some Prickly Pears, you’ll be looking for a specific type of flora, which can only be found in the Dam Battleground and Buried City maps. Unlike other nature items, these don’t have a specific area where they spawn. Instead, these plants are scattered in smaller groups throughout the two maps.
For Prickly Pears, you’re looking for a cactus-like plant that has cactus leaves, which you can easily distinguish from the others. When you find these plants, you can check the ground around them for a chance of getting a Pear. However, the spawn rate is pretty low and you might have to do a couple of runs before you find one. There’s also a chance that another raider has already gone to the area and picked them up before you.
On low graphics, these cactus plants can look like normal plants from far away, so it’s important to get close.
Best Locations To Get Prickly Pears
As mentioned above, you’ll find the cactus plants that can spawn Prickly Pear everywhere, but there are a few locations on both Dam Battleground and Buried City that have a big group of them, giving you a higher chance to find one.
Dam Battleground Prickly Pear Locations
There are two main locations for Prickly Pear in the Dam Battleground:
- You can find a big group of them on the northern side of the map, to the left of Power Generation Complex. If you look at the map, you’ll find it near where the two main roads connect at the top.
- The second location on this map is just beside the Research & Administration area, just below it once you exit the red line.
Buried City Prickly Pear Locations
Buried City is a much better map to find Prickly Pear, and here are your best locations:
- You can find a giant group of cactuses on the very southern edge of the map. Head to the Old Town and keep going south from its southernmost yellow boundary to find it.
- Apart from that, you can also find a group of these plants on the eastern side near the spawn point there.
- Finally, you can find some more on the northeastern side of the map near some buildings.
