The long-anticipated second chapter of Stranger Things has arrived in Dead By Daylight, adding two new Survivors, Dustin Henderson and Eleven, and one new Killer: The First (also known as Vecna). Each of these iconic characters brings three unique perks, which you can use to create fun and gameplay-boosting builds.
Dustin’s quick thinking and friendly personality inspire his three perks to help the team work faster and smarter. Here is everything you need to know about Dustin Henderson’s perks and some bespoke builds for each one.
All information mentioned here is correct as of the 9.4.0 PTB, but is subject to change. If and when anything changes, we will keep you updated.
Dustin’s Unique Perks
Dustin Henderson brings three unique perks to Dead By Daylight:
- Bada Bada Boom gives you the ability to craft a trap that slows the Killer when vaulting a window.
- Change Of Plan allows you to change a toolbox into a med kit.
- Teamwork: Full Circuit increases skill check zones and repair speed when repairing with other Survivors.
Each of these gives a boost to your gameplay in its own way, but when combined with other already-existing perks, they can really start to shine. It could be fun to combine Bada Bada Boom with every other trap perk – Chemical Trap, Wire Tap, and Blast Mine – for a full trap build, as they all require generator repair progress to activate them.
Currently, the new Teamwork perks stack repair speed buffs, making them strongest when paired together, along with other generator-based perks like Prove Thyself and De Ja Vu.
There are also some interesting combinations you could produce with Change Of Plan to make the most of the toolbox you bring and the med kits you end up with.

Henry Creel has three unique perks to bring to Dead By Daylight
Bada Bada Boom Build
As mentioned above, this build could be a lot of fun if it consisted of just all trap perks, but for a more rounded build, we recommend putting Bada Bada Boom with some perks to allow you to escape while the Killer is slowed down.
Keep Chemical Trap in the build to have another way to slow the Killer during loops, but also add Alan Wake’s Champion Of Light to add another layer of Hindered by blinding them as they break through a pallet.
While the Killer is blinded and slowed down, use Sprint Burst to put some distance between you and the Killer.

Bada Bada Boom |
You may not be a fighter, but you have clever ways of striking back. |
Repair at least 20% of a generator to activate the perk, then place a trap at a window. The trap will be active for 60 seconds or until the Killer vaults the window, at which point the Killer suffers from 50% Hindered for 6 seconds. |
|
Chemical Trap |
In the Fog, an officer must adapt to the materials at hand. |
An Ellen Ripley perk. Repair at least 20% of a generator to activate the perk, then place a trap at a pallet. The trap will be active for 60 seconds or until the Killer vaults the window, at which point the Killer suffers from 50% Hindered for 4 seconds. |
|
Champion Of Light |
The glow of the flashlight looks a little different, feels a little warmer. |
An Alan Wake perk. Gain a 50% speed boost while using a flashlight. When blinding the Killer, they suffer from 20% Hindered for 6 seconds. |
|
Sprint Burst |
You need to channel your misspent energy. |
A Meg Thompson perk. When you start running, you gain 50% haste for 3 seconds, after which you suffer from the Exhausted status for 40 seconds. |
Change Of Plan Build
Change Of Plan allows you to change a toolbox into a med kit when inside a locker, but before that happens, you will want to make the most out of your toolbox. By pairing it with Built To Last, you get to refill your toolbox, so you can use it more than once.
Make sure to take the best possible toolbox with you, with some high-rarity add-ons, as the med kit that replaces it will be the same rarity, including add-ons. The Engineer’s toolbox with Socket Swivels and a Wire Spool is ideal.
Because your toolbox will speed up repairs, we recommend adding something like Blast Mine to trap a generator. This stuns and blinds the Killer when they kick it. Or you could swap it out for an exhaustion perk like Lithe or Sprint Burst.
When you are done with your toolbox, you can then enter the locker and press the ability button to change it to a med kit. At this point, you can use the med kit to heal, with Bite The Bullet silencing your or other players’ grunts of pain.

Change Of Plan |
Rather than give in to danger, you recalculate and adjust your strategy. |
You have two tokens, each one giving you a chance to change your toolbox into a med kit. As long as your toolbox isn’t an anniversary toolbox, you gain a med kit of the same rarity, add-ons included. |
|
Built to Last |
Architecture is the soul of civilization. |
A Felix Richter perk. With an empty item, enter a locker for 10 seconds to refill it. You can do this multiple times, each time reducing the refill by 33%. |
|
Bite The Bullet |
I can do this! |
A Leon Kennedy perk. When healing yourself or another, your grunts of pain are reduced by 100% and there is no noise notification when missing a skill check. |
|
Blast Mine |
You want S.T.A.R.S? I’ll give you S.T.A.R.S! |
A Jill Valentine perk. After repairing the generator until it is 40% complete, Blast Mine activates. Place a trap on the generator, and it will stay there for 120 seconds or until the Killer kicks the gen. If they kick the gen, they are stunned and blinded. |
Teamwork: Full Circuit Build
Teamwork: Full Circuit not only speeds up your generator repair speed when you work with another teammate, but you all gain a bigger skill check zone. To use the skill check zones more effectively, add Stake Out and Fast Track and turn your good skill checks to great, and gain some bonus progress.
Prove Thyself is a standard recommendation for anyone hoping to work on repairing generators with other Survivors, but you could also swap it out with Eleven’s Teamwork perk or De Ja Vu to stack more repair speed bonuses for yourself.

For each Survivor working with you on a generator, skill check zones are increased by 25%. You also gain a 5% repair speed boost whenever you work on a gen with another Survivor. |
|
Stake Out |
We’re gonna close this case! |
A Detective Tapp perk. Gain a token every 15 seconds when you are in the Killer’s terror radius, up to 4 tokens. Every token turns a good skill check into a great skill check. |
|
Fast Track |
The weak are sacrificed first… |
A Yun-Jin Lee perk. Gain 3 tokens whenever another Survivor is hooked. You then spend those tokens when you perform a great skill check during gen repairs. Each token gives you 1% bonus progression for gen repairs. |
|
Prove Thyself |
Show me what you can do! |
A Dwight Fairfield perk. Every other Survivor working on generators with you (or within 4 meters of you) gains a 10% repair speed bonus. |
