It’s been over two years, and people still can’t get enough of Baldur’s Gate 3. From multiple playthroughs to find every last bit of content to mods that bring back the cut content from early access, fans are doing everything to get more BG3. Some dedicated fans have taken things to another level with the Path to Menzoberranzan custom campaign.
Perhaps the biggest Baldur’s Gate 3 fan project in development, recreating iconic locations from the Baldur’s Gate series. It has grown exponentially since it was first announced, with over 100 developers working on it as of last year, and more content than initially promised. With an alpha set to release this year, it looks like the project is now looking for even more developers.
Path To Menzoberranzan Is Going To Be Massive
Late last month, the project was looking for voice actors, and now it’s looking for developers in ten different departments. As spotted by PC Guide, the Path to Menzoberranzan project has put out several openings on its official Discord channel. They’re looking for everything from artists and animators to HR and public relations representatives.
“Hello creatures of Menzoberranzan! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is off to a great 2026! At this stage in development, we’re looking to expand our team across many departments,” said the post. It listed ten different departments, including art, audio, design, HR, narrative, production, PR, quality assurance, programmers, and user experience.
Larian Needs To Fix Wyll Before It Moves On From Baldur’s Gate 3
Adding more lines for Wyll – and making sure the right ones play – should have been the focus of a Baldur’s Gate 3 patch.
From the looks of it, the project needs more contributors in just about every department possible, so feel free to check in if you have any video game development experience. It’s a Patreon funded project though, so you’re going to be working on it for your love of video games rather than to get paid.
In its last update, the team revealed some of the characters we’ll see once the project finally launches. They revealed “a Drow cleric of Eilistraee, a swashbuckling human, a man resembling Frankenstein’s monster, and more!”
