Controversial Kick streamer Asmongold has parted ways with the talent agency he co-founded, Mythic Talent, which now says it aims to be “committed to fostering an environment grounded in respect and responsibility”.
There are plenty of controversial streamers out there, especially when it comes to Kick, but one of the first that comes to mind in the gaming space is Zack Hoyt, better known as Asmongold. Formerly known for playing World of Warcraft, Asmongold has steadily shifted towards politics and gaming drama over the last few years.
In that time, Asmongold has been wrapped up in multiple controversies, from comparing Andrew Tate to Martin Luther King to being banned from Twitch after saying that Palestinian people are “terrible people” from an “inferior culture”, something he later apologised for. It seems the controversy might be too much for Mythic Talent, though.
Asmongold Has “Mutually Parted Ways” With The Talent Agency He Co-Founded
“Mythic Represents Creators From A Wide Range Of Backgrounds And Perspectives”
As reported by Kotaku, Mythic Talent, the streamer talent agency that Hoyt co-founded with TipsOut in 2023, shared a statement on Twitter yesterday confirming that it has “mutually” parted ways with Asmongold. The statement claims that Mythic “represents creators from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives” and wants an environment “grounded in respect and responsibility”.

What Does Asmongold’s Apology Mean For Gaming?
Asmongold followed up an authentic feeling, introspective YouTube apology with a more dismissive tone on Reddit. But which was genuine?
It’s not entirely clear what has caused the sudden split between Asmongold and Mythic (which has seemingly been unbothered by the streamer’s previous controversies), but it’s speculated that Hoyt’s recent comments about US airstrikes in Iran could have contributed to the matter. As of the time of writing, Asmongold hasn’t commented on the split with Mythic.
