There are plenty of ways to play Arc Raiders and get loot. You could go the loot-goblin way by sneaking around and opening every container, or be an Arc warrior and take parts off the murderous robots. You could also take the PvP route and hunt down other raiders, or be a rat and ambush players at extraction zones. There’s really no wrong way to play the game.
However, none of these routes are easy. You could easily get killed by Arcs, other raiders, or your own stupidity, and end up with nothing. You’ve got to adapt your approach based on the threat you’re facing, and some players seem to have found another high risk-high reward approach: becoming a street performer.
Play For Your Loot
Musical instruments are a fun addition to Arc Raiders, allowing you to lighten the mood with some tunes. You can even do it in groups, as the instruments sync up when played together. Some players have decided to try their luck by simply playing instruments near extraction zones and relying on the community’s generosity.
Friendly raiders have been known to drop blueprints or loot for others on occasion, and it’s this generosity that Redditor UsualApricot8360 claims got them some high-tier loot for simply playing the guitar. They showed off a bunch of Queen Reactors, Bastion Cells, and other loot that players apparently dropped for them. Seems like a great haul.

However, not everyone claims to have had the same luck as UsualApricot8360. Some comments said that they only received low-tier loot like springs and wires, while most others said they got shot by raiders. It seems not everyone appreciates the arts when loot is involved, but it’s worth trying if all else fails.
Arc Raiders was recently plagued by a duplication glitch epidemic, resulting in players spamming grenades all over the place. Thankfully, that has now been fixed by the devs, who will be doling out punishments on a case-by-case basis.
