Everybody has their favourite loot spots in Arc Raiders. Whether it’s red lockers, trash cans, or even the Hidden Bunker events, there are some spots that we absolutely need to hit on every run. This is mostly down to what materials you may need, or which blueprint you still haven’t got. However, it seems there’s one spot everyone loots, no matter what you’re looking for.
If you’re playing on Dam Battlegrounds, there are plenty of great loot spots. The Control Tower, Research & Administration, and Power Generation Complex can all get you some great items. However, if you start at the northeastern spawn point, you’re probably going to loot the grate just at the foot of the staircase heading out.
One Crate To Loot Them All
This unassuming crate isn’t really known for having high-tier loot or blueprints of any kind, yet most Arc Raiders players won’t pass it without looting it. It may give you some simple crafting items or stims to zoom your way to your objective, but it seems most players just loot it as tradition, superstition, or for good luck.
According to Kewtn‘s post on Reddit, you’re probably going to have a bad time if you don’t loot it before heading out. While that sounds like superstitious nonsense, many players in the comments seem to agree with them. While many hope for stims to get a quick start to their game, others check it just in case.
One player likened the crate to Schrodinger’s cat, saying they think it will be a Tempest or some other great loot if they don’t open it, but common parts if they do. Another said, “It’s a luck check for that raid for me,” as if not opening the crate will ensure that they have a bad run, filled with Shredders and rats.

The aggressive efforts have seemingly paid off.
A few claim that the crate has delivered high-tier loot at times. “I found a Wolfpack blueprint on Blue gate at night right at spawn on a free loadout and made it out. It was my 2nd night playing and it was pvp with my friends.” No matter how you feel about what’s in that crate, it’s clear that players give it way more importance than any other.
