Going topside and finding loot is the main objective in Arc Raiders. Sure, you can fight Arcs and other raiders, but collecting all that loot is the only real reason to leave Speranza. In fact, there’s really no point in playing the game if you’re not actively going after rare loot, crafting materials, and blueprints. And yet, like with many extraction shooters, people are selling Arc Raiders blueprints for real money.
This isn’t an unprecedented thing, many games have given rise to unauthorized services like high-level accounts, rare materials, and even cheat software for sale for real money. Given how popular Arc Raiders has been since it launched, seeing promoted ads for the sale of blueprints and rare materials isn’t surprising at all, even though it defeats the purpose of the game.
People Are Selling Arc Raiders Blueprints
The only reason you need weapon blueprints in Arc Raiders is so that getting more loot becomes easier. It’s literally the crux that the extraction shooter genre is based on: get more loot so that it’s easier to get more loot in the future. However, if people end up buying blueprints, then the only reason to play the game ends up being to fight Arcs and other players.
While the PvE aspect adds its own dimension to Arc Raiders, most people are doing it in order to steal items off other players. But if you’re buying blueprints and other items for real money, then you’re just fighting other players for the sake of fighting. There are plenty of other games like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and PUBG that already offer that.
If You Think Arc Raiders Is Difficult, Things Are About To Get Worse
Looks like Embark might buff some Arcs.
In fact, Arc Raiders fans are also apprehensive about an in-game version of trading or a marketplace. Embark CEO Patrick Söderlund previously said that it’s an idea that they might look at, but the community is worried that it will make Arc Raiders go down the same path as Escape from Tarkov. Loot will lose all its meaning, and will only be equated to how much it’s worth on the marketplace.
