Going topside in Arc Raiders is utter chaos. You never know when an Arc might sneak up on you, a rat might ambush you, or you might just die due to your own stupidity. While that’s true for every multiplayer shooter, there is another side to Arc Raiders as well. A big part of the community strictly follows the PvE route.
That means not shooting other players, helping them out with enemy Arcs, handing out extra blueprints, and most importantly, collectively dispatching PvPers. While such etiquette exists across different games, you might spot something you don’t often see in games: players politely standing in line for their turn on the Hidden Bunker console.
Single File, Raider!
Hidden Bunker is a map condition in Arc Raiders that requires you to interact with several antenna dishes across the map and then download data via a console. While activating the dishes is just the press of a button, downloading the data takes time, with the player having to stand in close proximity to the console.
Just because the machines have taken over, it doesn’t mean raiders need to act like animals. So, don’t be surprised to see a single file queue when you head down to the Hidden Bunker console, as if it’s an ATM. It’s not like they have to worry about killer robots or missing their only way back to civilization, after all.
Arc Raiders Was Reportedly Made In Just Three Years, With A Budget Of $75 Million
That’s a relatively small budget for a massively popular game.
Unfortunately, this makes them a great target for stray PvP players who may end up in the lobby by chance. A few explosives and they might make more bank that they ever did. But that’s the beauty of these PvE lobbies. Players are great at recognising offenders and dispatching them together.
Frankly, it’s great seeing such etiquette in a game that literally allows you to kill other players and steal their hard-earned loot. We all want what’s in the Hidden Bunker, and if we just cooperate a bit, we can all win.
