Two Point Museum‘s Winter Update offers all players the opportunity to explore new Points of Interest, find new exhibits, and decorate in a uniquely festive style. The content is a free update, which is fully accessible during winter.
At the end of February, the Gingerbread village will become blocked off until next winter, presumably because of some weather-related incident, but the decorations will remain. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get the most out of this holiday-themed content.
How To Unlock The Winter Update
You’ll be able to access some of the Winter update content from early on in the game. As soon as you’ve completed the tutorial up to the point where you unlock the Cold Mines, it will start to become accessible, with the Gift Giver appearing in the workshop as a project.
When you first load up the game, there will be some decoration items available, and others will become available as you unlock and explore the three new points of interest, known as POIs.
Once you’ve displayed three cold exhibits, which is also a task for your first museum star, the Gingerbread Village POI will be unlocked. You’ll also be able to purchase a variety of decorations, after unlocking them with Kudosh.
The Bauble Breach POI will require you to display a coldwater fish. This is quite far along in the marine museum. You’ll need to unlock a way through to Wetlantean Outskirts, which allows you to then access Numb Drop. This POI has coldwater fish, and will allow you to purchase a freezer for your aquariums and keep them happy. When this unlocks, you’ll also get a new staff outfit.
The Festive Fleeces POI is quicker, and tied to the free taster content for Zooseum. You’ll start at Sticky Thicket in Farflung Isles but will quickly be able to venture into The Heat Line, where you can find the Zig-Zebra and Spyglass Giraffe. Putting these two in a suitable habitat will unlock this third POI. A second staff outfit unlocks as well.

How To Send An Expedition To The New Points Of Interest
The three new points of interest all work in the same way as usual POIs, meaning there is an unlock requirement and reward, a team required, and events which can affect your expedition.
Below we look at each POI and give you the unlock requirements, staff specifications, and details of events which can occur, both good and bad. You’ll also find the expedition length and cost.

Seasonal Outfits
The final items are the two seasonal outfits which are unlocked with the second and third POIs. One is a santa suit, and the other an elf costume.
Once unlocked, you’ll need to pay 100 Kudosh per outfit to be able to use them for your staff.
How To Equip An Outfit
To equip the outfit, first select the member of staff by clicking on them. When the tab opens, you’ll want to click on the icon on the far right, a t-shirt on a hanger.
You’ll now see the staff customization menu. From here you can change the outfit for the selected member of staff by choosing from the list.
If you want to change all staff of a specific type navigate through the job tabs, and you’ll see an option to apply to all staff of this type.
