All Stats And How To Improve Them In StarRupture

All Stats And How To Improve Them In StarRupture

It won’t take you a lot of playtime in StarRupture to realize that the game’s main focus is on the Factory Simulation aspect where you produce your own materials and find a way to automate them while delivering them to one of the five corporations, which then gives you more items to progress further.

However, even with this, you can’t ignore the open-world exploration aspect of it since you need to do that to get blueprints and various other items. While staying in this world, you’ll have to pay a little attention to your stats, and there are many ways to increase them both temporarily and permanently.

StarRupture is in an Early Access version at the moment, and things mentioned in this article might change before the full release.

All Stats And How To Fix Them, Explained

Once you start playing StarRupture, you can take a look at your main stats by pressing Tab on your keyboard, which opens up your character overview. Here, you’ll see the following five stats with a bar representing how much of them you currently have: Shield, Health, Calories, Hydration, and Toxicity.

Apart from these, there’s also a sixth stat called Stamina, which isn’t necessarily stated on this screen, but has a big impact on the gameplay. Here’s everything you need to know about these stats and how you can improve them:

Stat

Description And How To Fix

Shield

This is the auto-regenerating armor that you have, which gets consumed first when you get hit by aliens or environmental effects. You can see it as a blue bar above your health, and if you don’t take damage for a few seconds, it automatically gets regenerated.

Apart from the automatic regeneration, there’s no way to make your shield better temporarily.

Health

As you might already know, the health stat represents the hit points, which is the amount of damage your character can take before they get eliminated. If your health goes to zero, you instantly die and respawn at your Regeneration Chamber, and you’ll have to find your body again to get your items back.

There are many ways to regenerate your health in Arcadia-7. You can unlock the Medtool and get some free HP from it once you defeat a certain number of enemies. You can also eat various food items involving Star Tears to gain instant health and other health-related boosts.

Calories

This stat represents the amount of food your character has, and it slowly goes down over time. The easiest way to keep it full is by collecting Polifruit on your way and eating them whenever it gets lowered. You can also make some better food recipes once you unlock them.

Hydration

This is the second stat that automatically gets lowered with time, and it represents the amount of water you have. Much like Calories, you can easily regenerate it by eating Hydrobulbs or creating better recipes with them. If your Calories or Hydration go below zero, you’ll start taking damage.

Toxicity

Toxicity is a special stat in StarRupture as it only goes up when you eat certain food items that state that you’ll gain Toxicity. You wouldn’t want this to reach 100 at any point, but you can easily lower it by either eating Purplant-related food or just giving it time to automatically get lowered.

Stamina

Finally, your Stamina represents how much you can sprint, double jump, or dash in the game. Once it runs out, you’ll be quite susceptible to enemy damage, which makes it the most important stat in the game.

Thankfully, there are some easy ways to regenerate your stamina faster, and you’ll have to find some Serpent Root-related food items for it. These do give you a bunch of Toxicity, so be careful while consuming them.

How To Increase Your Stats Permanently

While there are many ways to fix your stats temporarily when they get lowered in StarRupture, there’s also a way you can permanently improve them, which comes in the form of LEMs. You’ll start getting these items quite early in the game, and once you unlock the LEM Station and gain some levels, you can put them on your character.

You can increase your Movement, Combat, and Survival stats to gain three different types of LEM slots, and your progress to these can be seen in the last section of your character screen. Here are the names of the LEMs you can equip to improve each stat:
