Sony is all over Battlefield 6 now it no longer has dibs on Call of Duty. And once again, it’s offering incentives for players on its platform.
This is a pretty minor one so don’t get too excited just yet, but if you join a party with two or more PS Plus subscribers, you’ll be eligible 5% XP boost. You’ll also get a 5% XP boost for being in a party in the first place, totalling a 10% XP bonus.
PlayStation likes to offer these kinds of advantages to players on its platforms – especially when it’s the primary marketing partner for a game. As we noted earlier in the week, its branding is plastered all over many of Battlefield 6’s ads.
Of course, it probably wouldn’t be pushing the game this hard if Xbox hadn’t bought Activision, because historically it made these sorts of deals on Call of Duty. It’s going to be fascinating to see just how many players Battlefield 6 can steal from Black Ops 7 this year.
If you’re primarily interested in the game’s single player campaign, however, EA’s first-person shooter isn’t exactly off to the strongest start. We described it as serviceable in our Battlefield 6 review in progress, but we’re not particularly in love with it.
We’ll be updating our review early next week once we’ve seen how the public servers hold up. In the meantime, you can find out all of the game’s release times through here.
