Bayonetta Invades Nexon’s Looter-Shooter The First Descendant in Crossover Event

Nexon has announced that The First Descendant will host a crossover with PlatinumGames’ stylish action series Bayonetta on November 6. Revealed during Tokyo Game Show 2025, the event gives the free-to-play co-op looter-shooter a dose of the Umbra Witch’s flair, complete with cosmetics that reference her distinctive firearms and slow-motion combat.

What’s coming in the collaboration

• Full-body Bayonetta skin for the character Gley
• Weapon skins inspired by the Scarborough Fair handguns and heel-guns
• “The Last Dagger” firearm skin, echoing Bayonetta’s signature pistols
• Makeup preset plus themed spawn, despawn, and social emotes
• In-game event featuring Witch Time-style slow-motion effects

Nexon will showcase the content during a developer livestream on Friday, September 26 at 5:00 PM PST. The stream will also preview the October 1 update, which introduces a new melee weapon simply called the Sword, its associated modules, and a fresh dungeon.

The First Descendant has been averaging ~7,800 concurrent players on Steam over the last 30 days. While this figure is down significantly since the game’s release, the numbers have stabilized over the last 6 months.
