According to Digital Foundry, it’s on the PS5 Pro where 007 First Light truly shines.
It only offers a single mode: the base PS5’s Quality Mode, except it’s running at 60fps. On top of that, the recently updated PSSR 2 feature is helping to significantly boost the visual quality of the game. “The PS5 Pro offers a much cleaner and sharper experience thanks to the use of Sony’s PSSR, which is a significant improvement over the base machine’s FSR 3,” the site said.
In our time with the PS5 Pro version, we experienced just a single crash. Besides that, it’s “run without a hitch” and looks “fantastic” overall.
Since the image upscaling feature was updated to its second iteration, it’s been notably improving recent PS5 games, to where the enhanced PS5 Pro is finally representing a real upgrade over the base system — if you can stomach the much increased price, of course.
