I’ve been covering PlayStation since before PS Plus rolled out in 2010, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen this before.
Sony has announced that EA Sports FC 26, part of the May 2026 monthly games, will be made available to claim for an additional two weeks, pushing it into June 2026’s lineup as well.
This means that while PS Plus Essential games Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and Nine Sols will rotate out on 2nd June, as planned, you’ll have until 16th June to add the aforementioned soccer sim to your library.
Remember, PS Plus Essential games will be yours to keep once redeemed for as long as you remain a member. So this is giving you an extra two weeks to grab EA’s football game, leading into the World Cup, which officially gets underway on 11th June.
This is potentially good news for those of you who are planning to take advantage of Days of Play to subscribe for a reduced price – although remember, the deals will only apply to new or lapsed members there.
As pointed out on the PS Blog, PS Plus Essential members will also be eligible to redeem some free Ultimate Team packs, which I assume are designed to help newcomers get a taste of EA Sports’ extremely lucrative mode.
Actually, these free packs are pretty decent for those of you who care: you’ll get a Gold Starting XI Pack and three Iconic Players Picks. If you don’t know what any of that means, they’re basically giving you a pretty decent starter squad to expedite your grind (and presumably help get you hooked).
