Honkai: Star Rail’s collaboration with Type-Moon’s legendary visual novel Fate/Stay Night will continue this summer, with the addition of two new crossover characters: Rin Tohsaka and Gilgamesh.
You’ll be able to claim the latter (or Archer) for free just by logging in, which is a nice bonus for longtime players. More details will be revealed later in the year.
For now, v4.3 will release on 1st June, continuing the story of Planarcadia and adding playable 5-Star character Mortenax Blade to the roster.
Fans will know a previous version of Blade released earlier in the game’s lifecycle, but this new version comes with a refreshed look and rebooted combat capabilities to reflect his current status in the story.
He’ll be flanked by a rerun of Yao Guang in the first phase of the update, while Cyrene and Phainon will return in the second phase.
If you need more pulls to fund these new characters, a new “endgame” Starward Mode will be added to the rotating combat events like Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow.
In these, you’ll need to assemble three teams to clear three different stages, with an additional 100 Stellar Jades up for grabs if you can complete them. That’s 300 Stellar Jades per update, enough for two extra pulls.
Other opportunities to earn pulls will include a new spaceship-themed combat event named Pixelplane Rumble, as well as what looks like a type of tower defence mode named Wispae Amusement Park.

I must admit, I’m struggling with the story in Planarcadia a little bit; I enjoyed the vibes at first, but the writing has been impenetrable to me – although that’s often par for the course in these Chinese games.
I’ll persevere, however, even if this update looks a little lighter than past ones.
