Today’s your monthly PS Plus Extra game rotation, and as the eight new titles for May 2026 become available, the next set of service departures for next month have been confirmed. Five games are on their way out, all set to leave on 16th June 2026.
As per the Last Chance to Play section on PS5 consoles, they are:
Unlike the PS Plus Essential tier, where you gain access to the games for as long as you subscribe to the service after redeeming them, the PS Plus Extra tier revokes access once the titles depart. If you want to continue playing any of the above, you’ll have to buy them after 16th June 2026.
The standout departure here is Red Dead Redemption, but it’s not quite as big a deal as you might think. As has been proven by GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, developer Rockstar puts its titles on a subscription service for roughly six months, and then takes them to another one somewhere else.
Both Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 are on their third stints on PS Plus Extra, always available in three and six-month periods. It’s likely Rockstar will adopt the same approach with Red Dead Redemption, so it’ll likely return to the service by the end of 2026.
Elsewhere, it’s worth playing the Scott Pilgrim and We Love Katamari titles. With just under a month until their time on PS Plus Extra expires, you could play through them both.
