I absolutely hate the name, but there’s no denying the potential within The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales.
If you haven’t been keeping up, this is a new action RPG from Square Enix, which boasts that (admittedly quite tired) HD-2D graphical style. It’s from the same team that made the Octopath Traveler games.
The title was first announced back in the summer of last year, and it appealed to me right off the bat because of its action combat. I’m still a huge advocate of turn-based battles, for the record, but I do think it’ll be interesting to see how the studio handles a hack-and-slash style.
Anyway, the “Prologue Demo” for The Adventures of Elliot is available to download right now on PS5. It’s just under 6GB in size, and you’ll be able to carry over your progress to the full release when it drops on the 18th June.
