As is customary for The Dark Pictures Anthology games, the next entry in the horror series has been revealed by way of a secret teaser video hidden in the latest release. With Directive 8020 now in the hands of the public, what’s up next has made its way online.
The video upload of the trailer calls the game The Craven Man, but this doesn’t seem to be confirmed. What is revealed is a videotape playing on a TV that seems to depict some kind of “phenomenon”. It’s got The Ring vibes and appears to lean into a more paranormal threat rather than a monster.
1988, 2019, 2028, and 2029 are the years that quickly flash on screen at the end; perhaps these are the time periods the game is set in?
No matter what Supermassive Games has in store, we hope it’ll be better than Directive 8020, the newest title. We found it to be quite dull to play with an uninteresting cast of characters, in a 5/10-rated PS5 review.
