You’ve got to respect Game Informer’s hustle here. The print magazine made a big song-and-dance about its latest issue’s cover reveal – and somehow got caught up in the latest GTA 6 rumours.
In defence of the magazine, it never promised it’d have news on Rockstar’s latest. But with fans expecting an update on the open world today, 12th May, its monthly cover reveal got inexplicably sucked into the hype typhoon.
Well, here’s its cover: The Blood of Dawnwalker – hope you like it.
As you can see, the chat on Twitch was not particularly enthralled:
The issue itself will feature 16 pages on The Blood of Dawnwalker, including a trip to its studio in Warsaw.
There’ll also be updates on Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and Metro 2039 – but no GTA 6, no.

Now despite the disappointment, this cover reveal doesn’t necessarily rule out some kind of GTA 6 announcement today. However, it’s getting a little late for an announcement now – we think the dream may be over.
To be fair, overlord Take-Two has said on multiple occasions that it’ll begin building hype for Rockstar’s new game this summer, and we’re agonisingly close right now.
GTA 6 news is still coming – just maybe not today.
