Capcom has revealed and released its promised new mini game for Resident Evil Requiem. Available to download now on PS5, it is named Leon Must Die Forever. It takes the shape of a time attack mode where Leon needs to work his way through stages and make use of enhancer abilities while racing against the clock.
We’ll share some hands-on impressions later in the day, but you could get a quick taste for the mode in the video below:
The mode unlocks once you’ve beaten the game, and is designed to offer lots of replayability across a range of difficulty modes. “The fast-paced action is distinct from the main story mode, and is packed with replay value. Can you make it to the end alive and defeat the boss within the time limit?” Capcom talks up an “extreme high-difficulty mode”, which shall test even the best Resident Evil players.
The combat in Leon’s sections of Resident Evil Requiem represents some of the best battle sequences in the entire series, so this new mode will let you play around with his moves some more. The franchise has a long history with optional mini games, with Mercenaries being the most famous.
