From all that we’ve seen of Forza Horizon 6 so far, it’s looking like another fantastic open world racing game.
That remains true with its launch trailer, which comes days ahead of its arrival on Xbox and PC.
The Japan setting looks great, and the trailer shows a variety of locations and vehicles that whet our appetite for the racer’s diverse range of events.
While Forza Horizon 5 is good fun, it launched on PS5 with years’ worth of add-ons and updates that made it feel a little overwhelming. Forza Horizon 6 is coming to Sony’s machine much closer to its debut on other platforms, meaning it should be a much better place to dive into the series.
A new setting aside, what we’re hopeful will make a meaningful difference is the more structured progression in this new entry.
While it’s open world and you’re able to do your own thing, the idea of rising through the ranks of the Horizon festival, steadily earning better cars as you go, seems more sensible to us than FH5 handing out vehicles like candy.
Obviously we’ll need to get a sense for all that ourselves when the game comes to PS5, but again, all signs pre-release are looking good. Hopefully we hear about a firm release date in the not-too-distant future.
